Grace Hills Church, Aliso Viejo (CA)
Savant Construction was recently contracted for the major renovation of Grace Hills Church in Aliso Viejo, CA. Our job was to help modernize the look and feel of the Church through custom design, using new and brighter wood colors to create a more visually open space.
Our job included the following:
- Refinishing all wood in Sanctuary including multiple (massive) support beams,
- All carpet replaced, pews removed and exchanged for brand new comfortable chairs,
- Refurbished main Cross in Sanctuary using a brushed aluminum byproduct,
- Custom built the video screens, including all new wiring ran beneath the stage,
- Built custom sound cabinet on stage using maple veneer and solid maple,
- Added Delta frosted glass to the organ pipes as well as chrome standoffs to create 3D effect,
- Mounted all speakers and pennant lights,
- Provided custom stonework behind the main Cross and below the baptism bath on the alter,
- Built several hand-crafted communion tables incorporating brushed aluminum laminate on solid maple,
- Raised the stage 6" by adding an extra step and ran all electrical (speakers, microphones, cabling) underneath,
- Built custom sound area (back corner) including soundproofing the walls using sound proof material as well as 2" ridged insulation paneling,
- Custom-built sound booth, solid maple and black laminate counter with hard maple detail incorporating a brushed aluminum laminate to create the unique "Cross" look. Multiple cabinets to hold computers, soundboards, equipment, etc,
- Refurbished Sanctuary doors and custom MDF wood trimming in Narthex to create 3D effect,
- Custom tile work in Narthex as well as men's and women's bathrooms which feature solid corian countertops and custom tile splash work. Also added all new urinals, patricians, etc.
- (Outside) Custom stonework as well as all new sod + landscaping.
